Artifacts

Artifacts are special objects that you can find in the Altar of Light building. They grant bonuses to your troops. You can upgrade and activate Artifacts in exchange for Alfheim Light. Earn this resource in Competitions that take place in Alfheim. Read more about this in the Battle for the Light section.

There's an Altar of Light in your Town from the start, but the building can only be used once you reach Palace level 25.

In the Altar of Light, you can view all the Artifacts that are currently available in the game. To find out the bonuses that an Artifact grants, select it on the screen.

Upgrading Artifacts 

To gain an Artifact's permanent bonuses, upgrade it to level 1. The higher the level, the bigger the bonuses.

You can choose to upgrade Artifacts in exchange for Gold, Soul Shards, or Alfheim Light. You can see how much Alfheim Light you have by going to Items → My items → Resources.

Initially, the upgrade cost for all Artifacts starts at the same level, but after you upgrade an Artifact for the first time, the cost for the others will increase to level 2. For example, let's say you upgrade the Njord's Star Artifact. This will increase the cost of upgrading Heimdallr's Key, Odin's Spear, Freyr's Sword, and all other Artifacts.

If you upgrade another Artifact, the cost of the rest will increase to level 3. Let's say, after Njord's Star, you upgrade Heimdallr's Key. This will increase the upgrade cost for Odin's Spear, Freyr's Sword, and the other Artifacts.

If you decide to upgrade all the Artifacts, the upgrade cost of the last one will reach level 12.

Upgrade Artifacts to increase the bonuses granted by the Altar of Light. The Altar of Light bonuses are always active and are in effect in all Kingdoms.

Artifact activation 

To gain an Artifact's temporary bonuses, activate it using Alfheim Light. In order to be able to activate an Artifact, the Artifact must have been upgraded to at least level 1.

You can have multiple Artifacts active at any one time — all of them, in fact. However, the more Artifacts you have active, the higher the activation cost.

To add an Artifact to the Favorites tab in the Boosts window, mark it using the star icon.
